I have a couple of other questions as well for Forza veterans if that's OK.Īs someone who is brand new to the Forza series having always mostly gamed on Playstation is it worth picking up the base FH3 to fill the time between now and launch or is it too much of the same thing?Īnd more YMMV I suppose, are the higher priced versions worth it? I can see what's in each of the version and have looked at previous prices for the DLC for FH3 and the expansions for that seem fairly large but the cars ultimately come down to personal taste (and what is in the main game). Both were only really an issue with the demo as it doesn't save your progress so you can't simply reload the game.ĭoes era have an active and friendly Forza community? I have one mate who will probably get this but it would be grand to join some larger sessions. The only two I saw were no vocals in the last part of the first, season demo, race where you're heading for the festival and a windscreen that wouldn't clear of water. I didn't have any major bugs in my three or so play throughs. The in game counter reports it locked 60fps during gameplay (it hard drops to 30 in some cut-scenes) though there's not much GPU headroom so I may have to drop it a little in the full game. I set it to mostly high with some ultra settings - AF, environment quality, static geometry quality, world car lod, shader quality - and MSAA at 4x. I played on my pretty mid-spec PC (Ryand 1060 6GB) at 1080p/60fps and performance seems great. It's made me really excited for the main game now, so much so I've been looking up deals for the previous game. What a demo! I even quite liked the ever so corny "but of course, that starts in the autumn" endings to the demo race series.
